"Lake House Dinner" is a small horror game created as part of a programming course using Blueprints in Unreal Engine 5. During its development, I was able to explore different technologies to refine the game's programming and optimization.
This project was developed using a course by Sergio Dominguez on UDEMY. The goal was to learn Unreal Engine 5, with a special focus on learning Blueprints.
Blueprints
This course was a turning point for me in terms of programming. At that time, I had some experience with Unreal, but thanks to this project, I was finally able to understand the workflow, leaving room for optimization and game design.
Illumination
A big part of this project involved lighting with Lumen. I learned how to create different lighting setups and test them once the game was running smoothly.
Expanding
Once I “finished” the game, I decided to try publishing it for friends and others. That’s how I began polishing parts I didn’t like and listened to feedback. This was my first time working on a project in this stage.
